During your stay at Casa Pancole we suggest you visit the Fineschi Rose Garden.
No flower offers such a great variety of shapes and bearings as the rose; obviously for a rose garden like the one in Cavriglia it was necessary to collect all this diversity

The Roseto Fineschi is located just 5 minutes (3.7km) by car from Casa Pancole and is very large and organised into 21 sectors. (check the map). The criteria by which it is divided follows the classification of roses: species roses, ancient roses and modern roses and their distribution within the Rose Garden. The sarmentose (climbing) roses are present almost everywhere. The species roses and many of the ancient ones bloom only once a year, generally between the end of April and mid-May, while the modern roses bloom repeatedly during the season. Visitors should therefore not be surprised if they do not see all the roses in bloom at the same time. Those interested in learning about the historical path of the rose can request information material and a small guide available at the entrance.
The Rose Garden can be visited every weekday and holiday from the first Sunday in May to the last Sunday in June, from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
Large groups can book a visit by calling the following number: 338 4062717, or by sending a fax to the number: 055-96.66.38, or by writing to: info@rosetofineschi.it . For individual visitors and small groups of family and friends, it is not necessary to book a visit.
Visitors are asked to make a small donation of 6 Euros to the ASSOCIAZIONE ROSETO BOTANICO GIANFRANCO E CARLA FINESCHI as a contribution to the maintenance of the collection.
If you want a guide (subject to availability), an additional contribution of Euro 3.50 per person is required.

Visit the Fineschi rose garden
Description
The Rose Garden is very large: an accurate knowledge requires visiting it in different periods because the flowering is staggered and the oldest roses, the most valuable, bloom very early (towards the end of April) and do not re-bloom. The modern roses, or re-blooming roses, begin to bloom during the month of May and, precisely because they re-bloom, continue until mid-June. The summer period is certainly the most difficult for our roses, which tolerate the winter cold very well but not so well the torrid summer. In September, when the temperature becomes more favorable, the roses begin to bloom again and offer visitors a second interesting period, however not as beautiful as the spring one. For this reason, most visitors concentrate in the periods of May and June, when the flowering reaches its maximum.
How to orient yourself during the visit: Visitors are often amazed by the most showy roses, those with the most fragrant and colorful flowers: they are the modern hybrids, which bloom several times during the season. But the most expert visitors know the great botanical value of the oldest roses and dedicate their interest to them.
To all those who come to our rose garden for the first time we recommend following a historical path, such as to illustrate, in the short span of their visit, the history of this flower unique in the world for its beauty, for its richness, for its variety.
The attached plan will help to orient oneself in the different areas of the rose garden where, with taxonomic rigor, the different categories of roses are placed.
